Big site update coming soon!

I'm currently working hard on my website, eventhough you won't notice it un till it's actually finished. I added a guestbook to my website and I'm now working on improving the resume and samples page. I want to play the files on my website, both audio and video, but that needs a little bit of work. I also need to update a few other things. Basicly I'm saying that this website isn't dead! I'm just working behind the scenes. With the update I'll soon give, you can also find new roles that I've been offered and a few new additions to the finished products page.

Happy birthday to me! twenty years ago I was born on this day, so that makes this day my birthday! And on this day I'd like to update my site and say that I'm fully active again. I send out a lot of auditions in the past week and so far I've recieved one role. I get to play an anchorman in a radioplay for Detective Conan. Thanks for the role!

Well, that's basicly it haha ... once I have something to report I'll update again!

Well, I've disapeared on the website for about a month or so and I'd like to tell you why. I was sick some weeks ago. After I got better I still had a nasty cough that I kept for about 3 weeks. This prevented me from doing any recordings. I would have to cough in the middle of a line or right after saying a line. This obviously wasn't going to work so I had to stop for a while. On top of that I've been a bit down lately. I lost interest in a lot of things I used to do.

But hooray for me! I've been better for two weeks now, so no more coughing! I also took a break from a lot of things and just tried to find some new things to enjoy. It actually worked and I'm now fully back into voice acting. I just send in two roles to the producers so luckily I did not pass any deadlines because of the sickness.

Well, that's basicly it haha ... once I have something to report I'll update again!

Well, I've been looking for new microphones lately. I'm on a budget so I'll go for a relativly cheap microphone but I'd like to have a better quality in my recording. From what I've heard in some tests already the jump from my 5 dollar headset to a condensor microphone will be big. I'm looking forwards to trying out the microphone I'm trying to get (MXL 990). The shops near my city do not have it in the shop so I cannot test them. I need to go someone else for that.

Other news is that I've been contacted by someone that offered me a role. It's still fresh and I haven't accepted yet but since I'm updating anyway I might as well mention it. An other role that is confirmed is that of the butler & worker in a Ouran High School fandub. On top of that I recieved the understudy for Ryoji Fujioka in the same dub. So i've got plenty to record!

PS: I'm trying to get a working guestbook on my site, so it might be here soon!

On the about me page you can find new photos. I've added two new pages about my photography and my emoticons (smileys). The last page still needs work so I'll upload that one tomorrow. Other good news is that I've found a good hosting and a domainname. So when you're visiting my website you'll use www.phaethorn.com from now on!

Well, the site is finally online. After a month ( and three weeks of lazyness ) the site is finally online now. During that month I kept updating my site, so that's why there are news items before the site even got online. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

New song: My Funny Valentine!

After listening to "My Funny Valentine" the other day I wanted to try and record the song. It's the kind of song I like to sing because it's not really stuck in a certain tempo or melody. You can make it your own song and sort of freelance it. It's hard for me to sing songs with karaoke because I'm not not a genius when it comes to timing. I feel rushed and I don't get it right 99% of the time ;-)

New role: Assistant!

I just got a small part in a new Sherlock Holmes radioplay. I play the assistant of the mad professor. Five minutes after I heard I had a part I recorded the lines and to my surprise I woke up the next day to see that the lines were used in a preview for the upcoming radioplay. Quick work Rikdo_Osaka!

The noob Radioplay Finished!

Good news! I received an email from Gianna, the maker of The Noob and she gave me permission to publish the radioplay I made with the characters from her webcomic. I voice acted three pages of her wonderful comic and mixed it with soundeffects. One thing I did not do though was ask permission, so I emailed Gianna and she said she liked it and that I could publish it on my website and on the VAA forum.

I had originally planned to do two pages, but when I was waiting for the permission email I picked up the third page as well. It makes the play a little longer and more complete. Plus it gave me the chance to do more voices and effects, haha! Thanks again for the permission and wonderful comic Gianna!

New role: Fushigi Yuugi!

I guess because I auditioned a lot, the roles now keep flying in. I just received an email about being casted for the Fushi Yuugi fandub. I will play the role of the strongman on the Festival. Fushi Yuugi, episode 26 fandub will be produced by foxycyberchick91. It's a very funny episode and I'm looking forwards to seeing the finished fandub!

New role: Angelic Layer!

I got casted as the role of Ichiro "Icchan" Mihara, in a Angelic Layer fandub that is produced by x0Michellex0. It will be a fandub for the 21th episode of the show, in which they are all going to the beach. Icchan has a funny role so I'm very happy that I have been casted! I'll have a lot of fun recording my lines :D

New role: Running with an Angel!

I just received an email, saying that I have been casted as Coach Fenrick in the radioplay Running with an Angel. This radioplay is an original work and it was written by Shika Megumi. Shika is also running the radioplay production so I'm confident that she will finish it and not let her own child die! It's going to be fun to work with her. Thanks for the role Shika! VAA

Upcoming radioplay: The noob!

The Noob will have page 233 and 234 acted out in a small radioplay. It's pure for fun and I'll be doing all the voices myself. I acted out a page of a webcomic before (Nodwick) but this time I'll use background sounds and effects. The listener has to have the idea he or she can follow the story without actually looking at the comic pages. Of course it is encouraged to look at them ... but you get what I mean ... right?

Welcome to my new website!

I bit you all welcome to my new website! I made this website with a template that I found on Free CSS Templates. I then modified the template into the form it's in now. On this website I'll post news items about my latest projects or roles. Obviously I'll keep my resume and demo page updated too! The site isn't complete yet. Infact it still needs quite a lot. But I'll post a news item once it's done.
